Company overview
KfW Capital is a wholly owned subsidiary of KfW Bankengruppe that invests in German and European venture capital (VC) and venture debt funds with the aim of strengthening their capital base. The firm's stated objective is to improve access to capital for technology-oriented growth companies in Germany through well-capitalised funds. KfW Capital operates with support from the ERP-Sondervermögen (ERP Special Fund) of the German federal government, which originates from Marshall Plan aid for the reconstruction of the German economy.
